Providing DN1 visas for foreigners is quick and simple
As commercial trades are emerging, so too does the need for traveling aboard and enter into Vietnam by various methods – one of which is by company sponsorship of foreigners. With the DN1 visa, companies created under Vietnamese rules and regulations, guarantee foreigners’ entry into the country – for work or other reasons.
1. The Subject of DN1 Visa In VietNam?
The DN1 type of visa is a business visa that includes a person’s demographic information including name, age, date of birth (DOB), place of birth, etc., and it is Issued to foreigners working with other enterprises and organizations that are juridical persons as per the law of Vietnam.
DN1 visas are issued with a validity of no more than 12-months.
Note: Foreigners whose passports or international travel documents with a validity of less than 12-months are issued a DN1 visa will be issued for at least 30-days shorter than the validity of the Passport or international travel document.
2. Procedure for obtaining a DN1 Visa
The employer must submit a proposal – for obtaining a DN1 visa – to the Immigration Department or the Immigration Department of the Ministry of Public Security where the employer is registered.

After 8-days the employer will receive a letter of acceptance of entry from the Immigration Department. The employer must then forward the acceptance of entry to the foreigner by letter and/or a labor contract.

Foreigners must also be aware of the locations in which the DN1 visa is issued – at the airport or at a Vietnamese representative office overseas – as noted in the letter of acceptance.

Foreigners categorized as or falling under visa-free conditions and/or countries need only:
A Passport with a validity of 6-months from the date of entry into Vietnam AND 2 blank pages.
