What is the line of business?
There are no regulations on the concept of business fields.
However, Vietnamese law stipulates that the system of economic sectors must promulgate together with the Appendix specifying the list of business field codes.

Enterprises are completely entitled to change and supplement their business fields. Thus, enterprises, when they have a need to expand and develop, are free to choose one of the fields that are NOT prohibited by law.
Procedures for changing and supplementing business files
Step 1: Prepare documents:
The application for adding business fields must include the following documents:
Step 2: Application submission
After preparing the application, the enterprise will submit it to the Business Registration Office in person or online through the National Business Registration Portal.
After 3 working days, the Business Registration Office will approval or request amendments and/or supplementation if the document is not valid.
Step 3: Results
The enterprise may receive the results either “in person” at the business registration office or via the postal service.
