Requirement
Temporary resident cards (“the Card”) will be granted for foreign investors in Vietnam and representatives of foreign company who invests in Vietnam (hereinafter refered to as “Foreign investors”) when their visas are issued. Type of their temporary resident cards is the same as their visas, namely DT, with 03 different categories: DT1, DT2 and DT3.

The validity of the Card is less than that of a visa, which is counted under 30 days
Legal documents required
Legal paper included:
A request paper from the agency, organization that carries out inviting and guranteeing procedures (Form NA6)
Registration form of the seal sample and signature for the first time at Vietnam Immigration Department (Form NA16)
A business registration certificate or decision granted by competent authority (notarized)
A letter of recommendation of the company's legal representative (Signed and sealed)
A declaration on requesting temprorary resident card with a photo (Form NA8)
A passport
4 photos sized 2x3
A labor license/ Certificate of exemption from work-permit for expatriates in Vietnam
Family book or marriage certificate, birth certificate
Procedure
Step 1: The agency or organization that carries out inviting and guranteeing procedures request Vietnam Immigration Department, Provincal Immigration Office or Immigration Office of municipalities directly under the Central Government where that agency or organization is located (hereinafter refered to as “the Office”) for the Card
Step 2: Within 05 working days from the date documents were received, the Office will consider to issue the Card.
